Cutting and/or grinding your dogs nails is an important part of your dogs grooming regiment. Your dog’s dewclaws grow circling back into the pad. This claw does not touch the ground and therefore is not worn down as your dog walks. This claw eventually circles around and grows back into the pad. This can be very serious and if left unchecked can lead to costly Veterinarian expenses. Claws should be cut back on a regular basis. If they are not, there is the risk of paw health issues arising.
